How I Saved 5 Minutes Blow Drying My Hair

Since the wedding plans started, I have been growing out my hair.  I do like it, and have finally managed to find a hair care regimen that leaves my long locks soft and tangle free.  However, it takes forever and a day to blow dry it!  Since it has been warmer, I have had wash-and-wear hair.  Although it doesn't look all that great, it cuts by morning time by the 15-20 minutes it takes to fully dry my hair.

The other day, while reading my beloved most recent edition of Real Simple magazine, I stumbled upon a review of brushes.  RS recommended the Goody Quik Style Paddle Brush to cut down on drying time.  While at Target last week, I bought it!
Goody Quik Style Paddle Brush Review
It is a bit of a monstrosity, with microfiber towel-like fingerlings sticking out from the normal paddle brush bristles.  The brush is also hollow, with side vents, allowing for more air circulation from your blow dryer.  The microfiber fingerlings (or whatever you'd like to call them) and supposedly antimicrobial, which satisfies my germaphobal side as well.

I finally got around to trying the brush over the weekend, and it really worked!!  I was very pleasantly surprised.  My hair was sopping wet when I started, and it easily shaved off 25% of my normal drying time.  At around $12, it is a bit expensive for a drug store hair brush, but it it definitely worth it.  Time or money, people!

  1. How interesting! I'm glad it's adding to the convenience of styling your lovely long locks! I'm going to have to stick to a good hair regime while in Thailand because all the wind, sun, and lack of quality conditioning products really took a toll last time.
